Makeup Consultation & Lessons
Wouldn’t you say beauty is personalized and varies from person to person? I would also say it’s fairly complex and hard to define. At the same time, it’s always distinctive and unique. So of course, makeup lessons will vary on who you are, what you’re looking for and what you’re comfortable with.
I charge $175 for a private makeup lesson and consultation, it usually goes for about an hour and a half. The basic session is fairly quick. I would ask you to bring in your own makeup, if you have any, and we go over how you could use them. I can make recommendations on what makeup works for you, what doesn’t, etc. And I’ll share my tips and tricks on how I do makeup. I usually will do one side of your face and ask you to replicate it on the other side… We’ll do a full face chart and write down what we do. In summary we’ll be going over:
- Day-to-evening eyeshadow application
- How to apply: Foundation, Blush, Contour, Lipliner, Lipstick, Eyeliner
- How to do a winged liner
- Color Theory
- Proper Brush Usages
- Shaping your eyebrows
For a bit more in-depth lesson, it’s $250; same as the basic listed above and also includes assessing your skin, features, and color tone. I usually bring my full kit so the lesson can involve lots of different looks, if you prefer. Of course, we’ll customize the lesson plan to make sure we cover all your needs. This usually goes for about 3 hours.
- Different eye looks and techniques (daytime to evening, special occasions)
- How to apply flawless foundation (differences between BB Cream, Tinted moisturizer, foundation, etc)
- Contouring the face
For the DIY bride, we can also cover bridal makeup in the in-depth lesson. Lesson will be customized to create the bridal look of your choice. This in-depth session starts at $300. Please inquire for details.
